I am a single empty nester that is not going to wait around for Mr. Right to come along before going out and having some adventures!  I have three kids that are all young adults with lives of their own.  Most of my travel is solo, but occasionally, one or more of my kids or siblings will join.

 

I work full time but travel as often as possible.  On one of my trips, I was sitting next to a man on an airplane.  He told me he was returning from a fishing trip, and he was trying to go fishing in every state.  I thought it was a great idea, and decided that I needed a "Quest" and mine would be to visit a National Park Service Property in each state.   I had already been to many, but I decided I would start over.  So, in 2015 I started to document my trips here.  I have since been to 48 states and over 100 National Park Service properties.  I've been to other cool places too, and will document those as well.

 

When I go on a trip for work, or go to visit my kids, I try to visit any National Park Service property nearby.  Sometimes I visit the sites just because they are close, they might not necessarily be sites I would normally have gone to had location not been an issue.  One of the things I have learned about this quest as I go through it, however, is that every location has something great to offer, and I have learned a lot at each place.

Recently, I obtained a campervan.  Its small, but I'm kinda short, so it works ok.  I believe this will change the way I travel a bit, and will give me a new perspective.  I am looking forward to seeing what I learn!  I'll tell you my stories, please tell me yours!
