The Curecanti National Recreation Area is located in west-central (is that a thing?) Colorado. It is a large area, with several different points of interest along the way. I stopped at a few on a recommendation from a ranger that I had met at Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park. I was driving from the Black Canyon to Denver, and this was along the way.

I stopped at the Cimmarron Visitors Center, which was closed, then to the Morrow Point Dam. Outside of the Cimmarron Visitors Center, there were outdoor exhibits on the trains that had been used in the area back in the day, when the area was being settled. The dam was interesting, but the drive to the dam was very beautiful, and I am glad I stopped by.
