Angee, Matt and I decided to stay in and around Kanab today, to see the sites. First, we went to the Best Friends Animal Sanctuary - the largest animal sanctuary in the US - it encompasses an entire canyon! We took a 2 hour free tour of the facility, and visited with the cats, dogs, horses, pigs, goats, and I'm sure a few other critters that are housed there. I highly recommend a tour of this place, and if you have 3 hours to spare, they welcome volunteers.

Later, we hiked the Squaw Trail, which is part of the City of Kanab hiking trail system. We started out without expecting much, but this 3 mile hike was gorgeous!. We gained about 800 feet overall, and ended up looking over the city.
