Wyoming - Devils Tower National Monument

On our way across the country, going from Berkeley to Brookfield, it was only natural to stop at a few places to explore. One of the more interesting places was Devils Tower. We had stayed at an airbnb the night before, and were greeted with a freshly made breakfast in the morning with scrambled eggs. They had gathered the eggs from the chickens they kept outside that morning! It was nice.

At Devils Tower, we had arranged for Matt to have a guide to climb to the top. We met him early in the morning, and Matt took off. It was a multi-pitch climb, and ended up taking 3 hours to get to the top, then another hour to come down. Angee and I waited at the bottom, we took a hike around the Tower, and then took photos and answered questions from people as they passed. It was a very cool experience. There were so many people that stopped, that we started having them sign a card for Matt to say "congrats on the climb" or something of the sort - with a location of where they were from. We had people from all over the country sign this. There was also a large group from France, but they showed up before we started the card.

Matt climbed to the top, and had an awesome time!
