Massachusetts - Springfield Armory National Historic Site

I was staying the night near this site, so I went over there to check it out. Unfortunately, the visitor center was closed, so I walked around and read the panels that were up. The Springfield Armory was the location of the oldest armory in the US, and it was in service for over 200 years. The site now, with the exception of the National Historic Site Visitor Center, is part of a community college. The Visitor Center apparently has exhibits showing some of the guns and muskets that were built there.

After leaving the Armory, I DID stumble upon a Dr Suess Sculpture Garden!!! It was only about a half mile away from the armory, and it was pretty cool!
