Michigan - Ottawa National Forest
Tracy and I like to get away on Father's Day weekend. Her dad is all the way up in Alaska, and her kids are with their dad, so its a perfect time to escape. This time, we went to Jenni's cabin on Poor Lake in the Ottawa National Forest of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
Jenni, Jackie and Megan were up there too, and we spent four days exploring the area. We saw some great waterfalls! Bond Falls, Agate Falls and Kun-de-kun Falls were amazing! Kayaking in Poor Lake was great - we saw two eagles' nests, and tons of other wildlife.
Two of the evenings, we trekked up to the shore of Lake Superior to hunt for Yooper Lites! The first night, we went to Little Girl Beach, and the second night was Agate Beach. Both nights we found some yooperlites, and there were several others on the beach looking around.
