November Class - Dog Sweaters in Brookfield

If you read the October 2022 post, you will know that I got “hooked” on using a circular knitting machine that I bought online. I have never known how to knit, and just not patient enough to learn, so it was super exciting to me to be able to knit a hat with it. I made a LOT of hats.

So, I was talking with two of my sisters, and they were chiding me about all the hats, and they pretty much told me that I needed to learn to make SOMETHING else…. Anything. One sister went online and quickly determined that DOG SWEATERS were a thing that could be made on the knitting machine, and I should try that.

So I did. I went home and got to work figuring it out – of course, there were lots of YouTube videos to help teach me, and I came up with a pink one. I don’t have a dog, so I used a stuffed elephant as a model. I made a matching hat for good measure and you can see the results.

I made a few more, and my sister’s dog Geordi looks awesome in it. My brother in law has a matching hat and they go to the dog park in style!

A few of the key take away from this:

1. Learning how to knit a dog sweater on You Tube is painless. A quick way to learn a new skill.

2. Stuffed elephants do not have the same dimensions as dogs.

3. Geordi really could get cuter than he already is.
